Do you know this too?
It’s already well past 6 p.m. when you finally arrive with the boat at your destination harbour. The harbour is full and you don’t know where there will be a free berth. You have to head for several rows until you finally find a green board for a guest berth. The harbour master has long since gone home.
So you won’t get sanitary access now. Water and electricity will not be available until the next morning. But you will find a note that you still have to register your berth at the harbour office.
Touring sailors will find this story all too familiar. They can rejoice that the start-up SMBL (Smart Marina Berth Logistics) has stepped up to put an end to exactly this situation. A situation that annoys the founder, as it certainly does every active skipper on his own cruises, time and again.
